Rogue Monster Rhino Functional Trainer Review

With plenty of experience testing premium equipment, our founder, Coop Mitchell, was eager to get his hands on the most expensive squat rack produced by the folks at Rogue Fitness. For around $7,000, the fully loaded Monster Rhino Functional Trainer offers a dizzying array of possibilities, including:

  • Rhino Belt Squat

  • 2:1 functional trainer

  • 1:1 lat pulldown/low row

But, is the juice worth the squeeze for a rack that can be fully tailored to your liking? In his latest video review on the official GGR YouTube Channel, Coop breaks down all the components of this innovative design so you can decide whether it’s time to go all-in on building a monstrous home gym.

9 Best Quad Exercises

Lots of folks are happy to blast reps of biceps curls and flex endlessly in front of the gym mirror, but they rarely bring that gusto when it’s time for some leg exercises. Some don’t even bother, content to leave leg day off the workout schedule week after week.

While this is a judgment-free zone, we implore you to put as much effort into training your lower body as you do with your upper half. After all, without a strong foundation — aka rock-solid legs — you won’t perform or look your best.

Luckily, there are plenty of battle-tested methods to develop killer quads using everything from barbells to kettlebells to just your body weight. Learn more about our nine favorite moves so you can take your muscle-building efforts to the next level.

Test Drive

AbMat Pivot Pad Review

As a certified personal trainer (CPT), former rugby player, and longtime weightlifter, there’s nothing I look forward to more than #LegDay. However, while I love doing back squats and deadlifts, one of the few exercises I don’t enjoy doing is the almighty hip thrust.

That’s not because it’s ineffective. In fact, hip thrusts can offer a ton of benefits for powerlifters, athletes, and anyone trying to maximize their glute growth. Rather, my disdain has everything to do with how cumbersome it can be to perform traditional barbell hip thrusts.

However, if you’ve been skipping this key posterior chain builder, it’s time to pencil it back into your workout routine. In this AbMat Pivot Pad review, I’ll open your eyes to the possibility of safer, more comfortable hip thrust workouts (among other movements) for a fraction of the cost you might expect.

Deal Zone

Rogue Fitness

Between its ties to CrossFit and reputation for making badass equipment, Rogue Fitness remains one of the cutting-edge leaders in the fitness industry. However, with a big name and high quality comes prices that are bigger than average.

While the company typically doesn’t give out coupon codes, we’ve compiled a list of ways you can score some valuable deals on everything from squat racks to kettlebells.

How to Save on Your Next Rogue Fitness Purchase

  • Hot Deals: Rogue’s daily “Hot Deals” page allows you to get low, bargain basement-level prices. Keep in mind that these deals start and end without notice.

  • Closeout Equipment: The closeout section features discontinued items, general closeout, and even used equipment from local events

  • Boneyard: Any Rogue Fitness product that comes off the assembly line with a minor blemish or cosmetic defect ends up in the “Boneyard.” Although they’re sold as-is with no warranty and no guarantee, the risk-reward ratio is often in your favor.

  • Hundo Pricing: Rogue’s “Hundo Pricing” refers to the idea of bulk discounts. In other words: The more weight you purchase, the less it costs.
