Push, Pull, Legs: Explained

Figuring out which workout split to follow can be more confusing than trying to pronounce all the ingredients in your pre-workout.

While there’s nothing wrong with the typical bro split plan, that’s not necessarily the best route for everyone. Luckily, if you want a basic, no-frills gym routine for muscle building, there’s one safe bet: push, pull, legs.

Commonly referred to as PPL, this training plan remains a staple in the bodybuilding and powerlifting communities because of its simplicity. But what should your plan of attack be when breaking up sessions into three distinct days?

Let our experts guide you on how to structure your workout schedule so you can push, pull, and train your legs to maximize your gains.

Sun Home Pod Sauna Review

Out of the more than 20 saunas the Garage Gym Reviews team has tested over the last few years, Sun Home Saunas has earned our respect by making dependable products that help you break a sweat, promote muscle recovery, and enhance your overall well-being.

GGR Everything lead reviewer Lindsay Scheele tested one of their latest additions—the Sun Home Pod 1-Person Red Light and Infrared Sauna—and it didn’t disappoint. With premium features like red light therapy, LED lights, and a high-end sound system and a sleek, modern aesthetic, this sauna seems like the total package.

But, is spending more than $8,000 on this solo sauna a sound idea? We’ll go over Lindsay’s experience to help determine if this futuristic recovery tool is right for you…and if it’s worth its premium price point.

Barbell Buying Guide

There are many fitness equipment items out there, but arguably none could be more valuable than a good old Olympic barbell. If all you had were a barbell, weight plates, and collars, you could train every major muscle group and focus on developing strength, building mass, improving endurance, or even losing weight.

However, just like there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to accomplishing any of those goals, there’s no one-size-fits-all answer to the question: “What’s the best bar for me?”

From the knurling pattern to the tensile strength to the shaft diameter, there are plenty of important factors that help answer that loaded question. We’re here to steer you in the right direction by breaking down what to look for when choosing a barbell so you find the right fit for your training style.

Once you finish reading this buying guide, you’ll feel like a barbell expert yourself.
